My name is David. I’m 22-years-old. I’m a high-school graduate who lives and works in Las Vegas, NV. I started this Project for pretty simple reasons. I want to help people. I want to be hands on with charity. It’s not enough for me to just give money to a large charity, not knowing what they’ll do with it or who they’ll help. I want to know who I’m helping, and I want the people who donate to the Project to know who they’re helping.
My goal here is to find families who need money in these trying times. There’s no specific criteria for who gets the money, though for personal reasons I plan to focus on families who are dealing with an illness or disease. I will also focus on families in the Las Vegas area, for the time being. Each time I donate to a family, I’ll try and get as much of their story onto the website as possible, so that anyone who has donated can see exactly how they’ve helped.
I understand people may be skeptical. Until I figure out how to become a legitimate charity, I don’t anticipate large amounts of money other than my own going into the Project. But I’m a real person with a real desire to help people. I’ll always do my best to answer emails and, although it won’t be posted on the website, my phone number will be available to those who want to contribute regularly, or donate large amounts.
